1. Somewhere Luxurious to Lay Your Head
Of all things, an RV mattress is what you’ll notice more than anything else. At the end of the day, living in an RV won’t be as roomy as staying in a single-family home. But, that doesn’t mean it has to be uncomfortable while you’re living there.
So, make sure there’s somewhere luxurious to place your head at night by getting a nice one. It may be a little more expensive to get one with foam padding, but it’s worth it. You’ll never complain when nothing hurts in your back once it’s morning.
2. A Nice Air Fryer With Enough Room for Everyone
Most of the time, an RV has what amounts to a full kitchen. But, it hasn’t always felt that way once you’re inside them. The limited space of an RV’s interior only provides enough room to maneuver a little. But, there’s an easy compromise to add more space where there’s none.
By getting an air fryer, you’ll have the full functionality of an oven without the size. They’re available in a variety of designs, usually the size of a microwave. Get one that’s large enough to cook dinner for everyone. Plus, using an air fryer is much faster than a traditional oven.
3. Portable Toiletries and a Handful of Wet Wipes
After being on the road for weeks, it’s nice to unwind with a long shower. However, there’s not enough time to take them daily, especially without wasting water.
So, it would help to pack a bag full of toiletries to take along for the trip while you’re gone. That way, you can look around in it to find whatever you need to feel clean again. Then, nothing can stop you from having the time of your life while away.
Wet wipes are another godsend when you’re far from civilization. Finding a clean water source isn’t as easy as it is in the city, too. So, they’re a great way to wipe things up if you’re short on water.
4. Standing Showers With Solar-Heated Water
Sometimes, it’s not easy to find somewhere you can hook up the RV’s water lines. So, we’ve always brought a portable shower with us whenever going on the road. That way, if there’s nowhere to hook up, we’re not out of luck. Now, you can find them with solar heaters to warm up the water, too.
That way, when you’re taking a shower, it doesn’t have to be cold. Just make sure to place the bag on the roof of your RV early enough to warm up everything. Otherwise, the water won’t be warm once you’re ready to bathe, and you’ll have to wait longer.
5. Something to Provide a Reliable Data Connection
Nowadays, there’s so much to do online, it’s hard to believe we ever lived without it. But, after taking a road trip, you might have to live how to again. That’s because not everywhere has reliable cellular service, especially far from the city.
So, we’d suggest grabbing a hotspot or something with an internet connection. If you can bring one along, you’ll never have to worry about finding a good connection. When your cellphone has lost its signal, just try using the other device. Most of the time, when one has lost a signal, the other will find it.
This can be particularly important if you’re working remotely. Otherwise, you may not have access to whatever you’re doing for work.
